The Rolex Datejust 36 126233-0057 debuted in 2026 as a yellow Rolesor version of the Datejust collection, pairing the 36 mm Oyster case with an olive green dial, a fluted bezel, and a Jubilee bracelet. In this configuration, the watch brings together several of the elements most closely associated with the Datejust, while the olive green dial introduces a more contemporary colour note within an otherwise highly traditional framework. Its Oyster case measures 36 mm in diameter and follows the established architecture of the Datejust line, with a monobloc middle case, screw-down case back, and Twinlock screw-down winding crown. Executed in yellow Rolesor, Rolex’s combination of Oystersteel and yellow gold, the case is fitted with a fluted bezel in yellow gold. That bezel remains one of the most recognisable features of the Datejust, giving the watch a more formal and immediately identifiable profile than the domed-bezel versions in the same family. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal incorporates the Cyclops lens over the date, and water resistance is rated to 100 metres. The dial is executed in olive green with a sunray finish. This treatment is created through radial brushing from the centre outward, producing shifting reflections across the surface as the watch moves. The colour is then applied after the finishing process and sealed with a coat of varnish. In this reference, the olive green tone gives the watch a more muted and less conventional colour presence than the silver, champagne, or bright blue dials more commonly associated with the Datejust, while the familiar layout of central hours, minutes, and seconds, applied hour markers, and the date window at 3 o’clock remains unchanged. Inside is Rolex calibre 3235, a self-winding manufacture movement with centre hours, minutes, and seconds, instantaneous date with rapid setting, stop-seconds for precise time setting, and a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. It runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and is equipped with a blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers. As in other Datejust references using this calibre, the movement combines the collection’s everyday date function with Rolex’s current automatic architecture. The watch is fitted with a Jubilee bracelet in yellow Rolesor, with five-piece links, a folding Oysterclasp, and the Easylink comfort extension system allowing approximately 5 mm of adjustment. In this configuration, the bracelet and fluted bezel reinforce the Datejust’s most traditional visual language, while the olive green dial shifts the tone slightly away from the expected. The result is a Datejust 36 that remains firmly rooted in the classic identity of the collection, yet stands apart through its particular combination of colour, bezel, and bracelet.
