Rolex Daytona Cosmograph Daytona Rolesium / White Enamel

The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 126502-0001 debuted in 2021 as a new configuration of the Cosmograph Daytona, introducing a Rolesium construction to the model for the first time. In this reference, Rolex combines an Oystersteel middle case and bracelet with platinum elements including the case back ring and the band framing the bezel, while the bezel itself is executed in anthracite Cerachrom. The watch is further distinguished by a white enamelled dial, creating a markedly different material and visual balance from other recent Daytona references. The 40 mm Oyster case retains the established architecture of the Cosmograph Daytona, with a monobloc middle case, screw-down case back, screw-down pushers, and a Triplock winding crown protected by an integral crown guard. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres. In this execution, the case is paired with a monobloc Cerachrom bezel in anthracite ceramic edged with platinum, with the tachymetric scale moulded into the bezel and its recessed graduations, numerals, and inscriptions coated with platinum. Rolex also reworked the scale presentation, with the numerals arranged horizontally in a manner that recalls early Daytona executions while remaining clearly contemporary in type and layout. The dial is one of the central defining elements of reference 126502-0001. Rolex uses a white enamelled dial produced with the grand feu technique, paired with three enamelled counters mounted to a brass base after firing. This construction differs from a conventional lacquered or galvanic Daytona dial and gives the surface a harder, more uniform brightness. Against that white ground, the applied hour markers and hands in 18 ct white gold stand out clearly, while the black-outlined chronograph registers and red Daytona signature preserve the familiar visual hierarchy of the model. Inside is Rolex calibre 4131, the self-winding chronograph movement used in the current generation of the Cosmograph Daytona. It is built with a column wheel and vertical clutch, allowing precise and immediate engagement of the chronograph function, and displays central chronograph seconds together with a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and a 12-hour counter at 9 o’clock. The movement runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of approximately 72 hours. Rolex equips it with the Chronergy escapement, a blue Parachrom hairspring with Rolex overcoil, a large balance with variable inertia regulated by four gold Microstella nuts, and Paraflex shock absorbers. In this reference, calibre 4131 is also visible through a transparent sapphire case back and features Rolex Côtes de Genève on the bridges together with a cut-out oscillating weight in yellow gold. The watch is fitted with an Oyster bracelet in Oystersteel, with polished centre links, satin-finished outer links with polished edges, and an Oysterlock folding safety clasp with Easylink comfort extension. This bracelet keeps the overall profile recognisably Daytona, while the combination of white enamel, anthracite ceramic, Oystersteel, and platinum gives the watch a different character from the more familiar precious-metal or steel-only versions. As a result, the Cosmograph Daytona 126502-0001 stands apart within the collection not through a change in function, but through an unusually layered combination of materials, finishes, and construction.
