It is powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B31, a COSC-certified automatic movement introduced in 2024. This in-house caliber marks a significant step for the brand, delivering hours, minutes, central seconds, and a date display at 6 o’clock, along with a 78-hour power reserve. Faithful to the design codes of the original 1957 Superocean, this 42mm version preserves key mid-century details such as the arrow-shaped hour hand, spear minute hand, and pointed indexes—updated for modern readability and visual balance. The case has been refined for slimmer proportions, while the improved mesh-metal and mesh-rubber bracelet options provide a secure, ergonomic fit.
