The Tudor Royal M2836C1A0-0104 debuted in 2026 as a 36mm stainless steel date model within the updated Royal collection, combining a silver dial with applied Roman numerals and the integrated bracelet architecture that defines the line. Within the current 36mm range, this reference sits on the more traditional side of the family, especially alongside the newly introduced stick-marker configurations that expand the dial options for this generation. Its stainless steel case measures 36mm in diameter and 9.7mm in height, with alternating polished and satin-brushed surfaces that give the Royal its characteristic mix of dress and sport cues. The bezel follows the revised notched design introduced for this generation, with a sharper and more crisply defined profile than before. A screw-down winding crown in stainless steel, signed with the Tudor shield in relief, contributes to the 100-metre water resistance, while a sapphire crystal covers the dial. As with the rest of the updated Royal family, the case and end-link relationship was also reworked so the bracelet links no longer contact the case directly. The dial is executed in silver with applied Roman numerals and a date aperture at 3 o’clock. In the 36mm Royal, the absence of the day display found on the 40mm models results in a cleaner and more compact dial layout, and in this reference the lighter dial colour gives the display a brighter, more open character than the darker black version. The Roman numerals reinforce the more classical side of the Royal’s design language, while the silver dial keeps the overall appearance restrained and balanced. Inside is the Tudor Manufacture Calibre MT5412, a self-winding mechanical movement with bidirectional rotor system, 28 jewels, and a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. It is regulated to a tolerance of -2/+4 seconds per day on the fully assembled watch and incorporates a variable inertia balance, a non-magnetic silicon hairspring, and a stop-seconds function for precise time setting. The bracelet is the Royal’s integrated five-link steel design, with satin-brushed external and central links, polished intermediate links, and a folding clasp with safety catch. In this silver-dial 36mm configuration, the uninterrupted flow from case to bracelet remains central to the model’s identity, while the lighter dial and Roman numeral display give it a more formal and more classically composed presence within the broader Royal range.
