The Tudor Royal M2836C1A0-0101 debuted in 2026 as a 36mm stainless steel date model within the updated Royal collection, pairing a black dial with applied Roman numerals and the integrated bracelet architecture that defines the line. In the 36mm range, this reference retains the more classical numeral layout, while the newly introduced stick-marker configurations in the same generation broaden the visual language of the collection around it. Its stainless steel case measures 36mm in diameter and 9.7mm in height, giving this version a noticeably slimmer profile than the 40mm day-date models. The surfaces alternate between polished and satin-brushed finishes, and the watch is fitted with the revised notched bezel introduced for this generation, with a sharper and more crisply defined profile than before. A screw-down winding crown in stainless steel, signed with the Tudor shield in relief, contributes to the 100-metre water resistance, while a sapphire crystal covers the dial. As with the rest of the updated Royal family, the relationship between the case and end links was also revised so that the bracelet links no longer contact the case directly. The dial is executed in black with applied Roman numerals and a date aperture at 3 o’clock. In the 36mm Royal, the absence of the day display found on the 40mm models results in a cleaner and more compact layout, with the darker dial colour reinforcing the contrast between the markers, hands, and dial surface. Within the updated Royal line, this reference sits on the more traditional side of the collection’s design language, especially when set against the newer baton-marker variants introduced alongside it. Power comes from the Tudor Manufacture Calibre MT5412, a self-winding mechanical movement with bidirectional rotor system, 28 jewels, and a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. It is regulated to a tolerance of -2/+4 seconds per day on the fully assembled watch and incorporates Tudor’s Manufacture movement architecture, including a variable inertia balance, a non-magnetic silicon hairspring, and a stop-seconds function for precise setting. The bracelet is the Royal’s integrated five-link steel design, with satin-brushed external and central links, polished intermediate links, and a folding clasp with safety catch. In this 36mm execution, the uninterrupted transition from case to bracelet remains central to the watch’s identity, but the slimmer case proportions and simpler date-only display give it a slightly more restrained overall character than the larger Royal day-date models.
