In this reference, Patek Philippe revisits the collection’s established ultra-thin, time-only format while shifting its emphasis through a smaller 38 mm case and a full platinum construction, giving the anniversary model a distinctly different presence from the white gold 5810 references introduced alongside it. Its case is crafted in platinum and measures 38 mm across from 10 to 4 o’clock, with a thickness of 6.9 mm. The construction follows the familiar two-part Nautilus case architecture and combines polished and satin-brushed surfaces across the case, bezel, and integrated bracelet. The screw-down crown and water resistance to 30 metres preserve the watch’s sport-luxury framework, while the sapphire crystal case back reveals the movement. As is customary for many platinum Patek Philippe references, the case is set with a diamond, here positioned at 9 o’clock, adding a discreet material signature to the exterior. The dial is executed in sunburst blue and retains the horizontally embossed pattern associated with the Nautilus. White gold applied baton-style hour markers and rounded baton-style hands, all with white luminescent coating, preserve the familiar display language of the collection. In this reference, the combination of the blue dial and the more compact platinum case produces a slightly denser and more concentrated interpretation of the Nautilus than the 41 mm white gold versions, while the absence of additional indications keeps the dial closely tied to the original three-hand formula of the model. The watch is fitted with an integrated platinum bracelet secured by a patented fold-over clasp and equipped with a lockable adjustment system.
