The Oris Big Crown Pointer Date “Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary Edition” 01 754 7779 4018-Set debuted in 2025 as an exclusive limited edition of 25 pieces for the United Arab Emirates, created to mark the 75th anniversary of Ahmed Seddiqi. The model was developed as a commemorative expression of the long-standing relationship between Oris and the region’s leading watch retailer. The watch is housed in a 38.00 mm multi-piece stainless-steel case with a thickness consistent with the standard Big Crown Pointer Date configuration, fitted with a sapphire crystal domed on both sides and treated with anti-reflective coating on the inside. The case features the defining oversized crown at 3 o’clock. The stainless-steel case back is screwed and bears special 75th-anniversary engravings, including the individual number of the edition. Water resistance is rated to 5 bar. The dial is executed in a sand-coloured fumé finish, conceived to evoke the desert tones characteristic of the region at golden hour. The color gradient transitions from a lighter center to a darker periphery. The display retains the historical architecture of the Big Crown Pointer Date, with cathedral-style hands for the time and a central pointer hand indicating the date on a peripheral scale. The overall design references both early aviation instruments and the desert-inspired palette envisioned for this edition. Inside the case, the watch is powered by the Oris Calibre 754-1, an automatic movement with a diameter of 25.60 mm (11 1/2’’’), operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) with a 41-hour power reserve. Functions include central hours, minutes, and seconds; pointer date with instantaneous date change; date corrector; fine timing adjustment; and stop-seconds. The strap is a sustainably sourced deer-leather strap by Cervo Volante, matched in color to complement the sand-fumé dial. Lug width is 19 mm. The presentation includes a special box and certificate, and production is strictly limited to 25 pieces. Warranty is 2 years, extendable to 3 years with MyOris registration.
