The Glashütte Original Senator Observer 1-00-14-07-02-50 debuted in 2015 and is housed in a 44 mm stainless steel case with a combination of polished and satin-brushed finishes. Drawing inspiration from historical observation watches used in navigation, this model delivers contemporary functionality while honoring the precision instruments of the past.
This version features a matte, varnished black dial with a railroad-style minute track and Arabic numerals in white. The dial layout includes a small seconds display at 9 o’clock, a power reserve indicator at 3 o’clock, and the brand’s signature Panorama Date at 6 o’clock. Blued steel hands provide high contrast and optimal legibility against the black background.
Inside beats the automatic calibre 100-14, developed and manufactured in-house. This movement offers a 55-hour power reserve and is bayonet-mounted for increased shock resistance. Through the sapphire crystal case back, the watch reveals Glashütte-specific finishing such as the three-quarter plate, blued screws, and a 21-carat gold oscillating weight.
Reference 1-00-14-07-02-50 is fitted with a black calfskin strap and secured by a stainless steel folding clasp.
