The Breitling Navitimer B19 Chronograph 43 Perpetual Calendar PB1921251B1A1, introduced in 2024, combines the Navitimer’s traditional slide rule architecture with a perpetual calendar chronograph, extending the functionality of the collection into a more complex mechanical format.
The case measures 43 mm in diameter and 15.14 mm in thickness, with a lug-to-lug distance of 49.07 mm. It is constructed from stainless steel with a platinum bidirectional bezel, integrating the circular slide rule that remains central to the Navitimer’s design. Both the front and the screwed case back are fitted with sapphire crystals, and water resistance is rated at 30 metres.
The dial is anthracite with a multi-register layout accommodating both the chronograph and perpetual calendar indications. Subdials are framed by applied metal rings, adding structure and depth, while the moonphase display at 12 o’clock forms part of the calendar mechanism. The outer slide rule is executed in black with a contrasting white inner scale, maintaining legibility across the dial. Applied indexes and the hour and minute hands are treated with luminous material.
Powering the watch is the Breitling manufacture calibre B19, an automatic movement operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. It comprises 374 components and provides a power reserve of approximately 96 hours. The chronograph is controlled via a column wheel and vertical clutch, and the movement is chronometer-certified. The perpetual calendar mechanism automatically accounts for varying month lengths and leap years.
This reference is fitted with a stainless steel bracelet, matching the case material and reinforcing the overall construction of the watch.
